1. Information you provide
HouseKeepr stores information you choose to provide so the app can organize and learn from your household activity. Depending on how you use the service, this may include:
- Account information such as your name, email address, language, appearance, and accessibility preferences.
- Household information such as household name, members, rooms, chores, permissions, and maintenance preferences.
- Cleaning activity such as chore completions, timing feedback, pauses, history, and other actions used by Home IQ to learn household patterns.
- Supply information such as product names, room assignments, quantities, restock status, replenishment events, incoming purchases, and optional product identifiers such as barcodes or Amazon product IDs.
- Friendship, invitation, notification, and feedback information created when you use those features.
2. Home IQ and Supply IQ
Home IQ and Supply IQ use the household activity recorded in HouseKeepr to calculate learning confidence, recognize patterns, estimate timing, prioritize chores, and provide supply-related guidance. These features become more useful as relevant history accumulates. HouseKeepr does not treat Home IQ as a credit score, eligibility score, or advertising profile.
3. Child profiles
HouseKeepr allows a household creator to establish parent-managed child profiles without creating a separate email-based account for the child. The parent or guardian chooses the child's profile name and avatar, assigns chores, and creates a personal PIN. The household access code, child PINs, and child session credentials are stored in hashed form rather than as readable credentials.
Child profiles are limited to the chores assigned to that profile. Their recorded chore completions can contribute to the household's cleaning history and Home IQ learning. HouseKeepr does not require an email address from a child profile and does not use child-profile activity for advertising. Child Access routes disable optional analytics storage.
A parent or guardian is responsible for creating, supervising, changing, disabling, or later replacing a child profile. A child profile is not an independent HouseKeepr account.
4. Analytics and cookies
HouseKeepr uses essential browser storage for functionality such as sessions, preferences, and app state. Optional analytics are used to understand how the service is used and improve the product. Optional analytics storage begins denied for first-time visitors and is enabled only after the user chooses to accept analytics.
You can decline optional analytics without losing essential HouseKeepr features. Advertising storage, ad personalization, and ad-user-data consent are kept denied by HouseKeepr's consent configuration.
5. Device permissions
Camera
HouseKeepr may request camera access only when you choose to scan a cleaning-product barcode. Camera access is optional. If camera access is unavailable or denied, you can use a photo or manually enter the barcode instead.
Photos and files
If you choose a barcode photo, your device's normal photo/file picker controls access. Barcode images are read on the device for barcode recognition and are not intentionally uploaded by HouseKeepr's barcode-scanning workflow.
Notifications
HouseKeepr currently provides in-app notifications for account, friendship, and household activity. The current web experience does not require device push-notification permission for those in-app notifications.
6. Third-party services and external shopping links
HouseKeepr relies on service providers to operate core infrastructure such as authentication, hosting, database storage, and application delivery. The app also uses Google Analytics when optional analytics consent has been granted.
HouseKeepr may open external retailer pages, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target, when you choose a shopping action. Those retailers operate under their own privacy policies. Some Amazon links may include HouseKeepr affiliate attribution; using those links does not change the price you see from the retailer.
7. Sharing within a household
Information placed in a shared household may be visible to other accepted household members according to the app's household features and permissions. Household creators control supported management permissions. Do not place information in a shared household that you do not want other authorized household members to see.
8. Data retention and deletion controls
HouseKeepr keeps information while it is needed to provide the service and maintain the history you have chosen to build. The app provides separate controls for resetting cleaning history, erasing personal cleaning data, and deleting an account. These actions intentionally affect different categories of information so shared household records are not unexpectedly removed.
Household creators may need to resolve or disband a household before deleting their account so shared data is not orphaned. Child profiles can be disabled by the household creator, and changing a child PIN invalidates existing child sessions.
9. Security
HouseKeepr uses technical and access-control measures intended to limit data access to authorized users and workflows. Sensitive child access credentials are hashed, household and social mutations use protected authorization paths, and child sessions are scoped to one child profile. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your account credentials and household access information.

11. Changes to this policy
HouseKeepr may update this Privacy Policy as the service changes. When material changes are made, the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of HouseKeepr after an updated policy takes effect means the service will operate under the updated policy, subject to applicable law.
